Then, this is what I noticed with Google Chrome, I went into 'Content Settings' in Preferences > Under the Hood. At this point however, Google Chrome still does not work, I even tried a reinstall of the browser with no luck. I did that, so now my computer has Divx Player 7.2.3 and Divx Web Player 1.4 - if that makes sense.įor online Divx videos, Firefox & Safari both work fine. Then I installed the latest version of Divx Player (7.2.3) which automatically installs the Divx Plus Web Player, however most websites mention Divx Web Player 1.4 for Mac is the only one that works so one must downgrade from the latest Divx Plus Web Player to Divx Web Player 1.4. Hmm, I think I want to try & stick to using Divx Web Player & if whatever reason it just doesn't resolve I'll look further into clicktoplugin.Ĭompletely uninstall Divx from my Mac by deleting everything Divx from the Applications folder as well as by searching in Finder for 'divx' in the file name through the entire Mac hard drive and deleting any divx-related files.
